Kochi: It is reported that a replacement has been found for Blasters superstar Alvaro Vasquez. The Spanish star is coming from La Liga. The news was released by prominent sports journalist Marcus Magullaho.
Vasquez is the player who played a crucial role in leading the Yellow Army to the final this time. The Spanish player scored eight goals in the tournament. He also provided two assists. Adrian Luna, Jorge Pereira Diaz and Alvaro Vázquez were the trio of coach Ivan Vukomanović last season. Vasquez has played 23 matches for the Blasters.

Vasquez started his senior football career with the B team of La Liga club Espanyol. Later he played for clubs like Getafe, Swansea City, Espanyol, Gimnastic and Real Zaragoza. He has also played for Spain’s Under-20, 21 and 23 teams.
