The singer of the hit “Weather in the House” went too far in her experiments. According to the public, Larisa Dolina decided to poke her nose into a place where she doesn’t belong at all.
Larisa Dolina admitted that she practically fulfilled one of her big dreams. For six years, the famous artist wanted to play in a play directed by Denis Bokuradze from Novokuybyshevsk. She had experience working in theatrical productions, but the star wanted to collaborate with Bokuradze.
In Tatyana Navka’s program, Dolina recalled that the immersive musical “Sweeney Todd, the Maniac Barber of Fleet Street” by Alexei Frandetti is already in its fifth season at the Taganka Theater. However, in this production she mainly simply performs her parts as a singer; the dramatic component of the role never bothered her. This was the case until a few years ago when the Valley saw the play “The Eldest Son” by Denis Bokuradze.
The star really liked the production and decided to repeat Olga Buzova’s experience. I even contacted a provincial director to discuss cooperation. He agreed, but had to wait six years. It took a long time to select the play and finally settled on “Figaro” by Beaumarchais. Especially for Larisa Alexandrovna, the play was significantly reworked and practically turned into a musical. The singer’s role was not so much dramatic as comedic.
“Larisa Dolina is always in her register, but I wanted to change her voice. I asked her to convey the mystery of the moment with her voice, the artist suddenly switched to the “lower” and it turned out hilariously funny. I want to make a performance so that we see not Larisa on stage Dolina, and Marceline performed by Dolina,” said Bokuradze.
The star didn’t mind and worked on the role for several years in a row, while simultaneously studying acting. She will soon go on stage, but the public did not appreciate Dolina’s desire to try her hand at a new profession. A real storm has unfolded on the Internet.
