The French e-commerce company, specializing in sustainable home furnishings, is launching the rental of furniture for children’s and babies’ rooms.
The Camif launches into the rental of furniture, reveals the JDD this Sunday. This new service from the French e-commerce company, which specializes in sustainable home furnishings, will concern furniture for children’s and baby’s rooms, according to the weekly newspaper.
It will be invoiced between 50 and 90 euros per month, delivery, assembly and recovery included. The rental furniture is designed to withstand time and travel. The logistics will be entrusted to a service provider “capable of repairing the piece of furniture on its return to put it back in the circuit and give it several lives”, according to the CEO of Camif.
“Substitute for a purchase decision”
“We do not want to resell a product made in China or incite overconsumption simply because it is second-hand, but rather substitute for a purchasing decision”, explained Emery Jacquillat, president of the company. since its bankruptcy in 2008, according to comments reported by the JDD on Sunday.
Camif was bought out by Maif for 82% of its capital at the end of 2021. Camif originally meant “Cooperative of members of the mutual insurance fund for teachers in France”: it had been created to allow Maif member teachers to furnish following the war. The French company became a company with a mission in 2020.
It offers products and services for the home with low environmental impact, with a 100% European catalog including a majority of products from French manufacturers. Camif claims more than 500,000 customers.
