One of the busiest accesses

According to records from the Vice Ministry of Transport, more than 600,000 vehicles (including private vehicles and public transport) enter the capital every day through Mariscal López Avenue. This, in terms of people, means that 1,300,000 individuals are entering Asunción, either for work reasons or for various kinds of tasks.

In this context, one of the main roads used is Mariscal López Avenue, along with Eusebio Ayala, España, Artigas, San Martín, General Santos and Félix Bogado.

Scope and objective of the works

The works will include earthmoving, paving, asphalt irrigation, art and drainage works, construction of cellular sewers, thermoplastic horizontal signage and application of Portland cement concrete, among other tasks.

The maintenance plan will include similar work to ensure the durability of the improvements made. Additionally, the development of alternative routes that will function as detours during the intervention on the main avenue is contemplated, thus minimising the impact on traffic.
