- Two days after the opening of its branch in Lyon, Renfe, the historic Spanish rail operator, announces very aggressive prices to attack the French market.

- The introductory rate for national connections between the ten French stations in the south of France served by Renfe will be 9 euros.

Raül Blanco Diaz, president of Renfe, the Spanish train company, announced on Wednesday extremely competitive prices to attack the French market. These price announcements come two days after the announcement of the opening of its branch in Lyon.
The railway company will offer high-speed travel on the two corridors where it plans to establish itself. A total of sixteen stations will be served. In France, it will serve the stations of Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Avignon, BeziersAix en Provence, Narbonne, Perpignan, Nimes and presumably Valencia. National connections between these ten French cities will be accessible at the extremely competitive rate of 9 euros. Internationally, Renfe will offer destinations to several Spanish cities: Barcelona, MadridGirona, Tarragona, Zaragoza and Figueres.
