Atarec is a project that emerged from the entrepreneurial spontaneity of Mohamed Taha El Ouaryachi and Oussama Nour employed with TMSA (Special Agency Tanger Med). The two project leaders were thus able to develop the patented “Wave Beat” solution through a demonstrator deployed on site, which uses wave energy through a mechanical/electrical system to produce green energy. The Tanger Med Group is developing a support offer for project leaders proposing solutions in its vertical businesses, whether in the port, industrial or logistics aspect.

UM6P Ventures enabled Atarec to benefit from a complete offer including support and investment, dedicated to the Energy vertical co-developed with the Green Energy Park, via access to the technological expertise of the UM6P Technology Licensing Office ( Development of Intellectual Property) and Subject Matter Experts/Business Experts specialized in the field of renewable energies, modeling and simulation (UM6P), industrialization and commercial development. UM6P Ventures is the venture capital investment fund of Mohammed 6 Polytechnic University (UM6P) whose mission is to develop entrepreneurship and accelerate scientific innovation in Morocco and Africa, with the support of the OCP Group.
