Even if the pace is a little less sustained than at nine months (+ 9%, once morest + 10.9%), due to a less favorable basis of comparison (the end of 2022 was marked by an improvement on the front of supplies), 2023 will remain as the year of commercial recovery for Renault, following four consecutive years of decline in sales.
With 2.24 million cars sold, we are certainly a third below the levels of 2018 (removing from the calculation the 500,000 cars that the group sold in Russia at the time), but the trend is reversed. It was in Europe that the recovery was strongest, with sales up 19.3% for the Renault brand and 17.4% for Dacia, in a market up 13.9%. Renault thus became the second best-selling brand in Europe, gaining three places in the ranking. For its part, Dacia is in 11th place (+ 4 places), but occupies 2nd for sales to individuals, the most profitable.
