Mon top : Renault is back
We know very well that the cycle of new products is not always something regular from one year to the next and especially from one brand to another. So, even if the marketing managers of the manufacturers try to have new products every year, there are sometimes holes in the racket with for example very poor years as was the case in 2023 at Audi and also a little at the beginning of 2024 .
The numerous crises experienced recently, such as COVID, the shortage of microprocessors or even the surge in parts prices, have disrupted the schedule for most new products.
One thing is certain, despite all its hazards, 2024 will be the year of Renault. The diamond manufacturer is planning a real fireworks display with no less than seven major new features. Some have already been revealed like the Rafale and the Scénic, but there will also be the restyled Captur, the DJB project (extended Captur), but above all the highly anticipated R5 and R4 which will be the big stars of the Geneva Motor Show and of the Paris World Cup. The utility vehicle is not left out, notably with the arrival of the new Master.
An attractive program, which already seems to find its audience. Thus, the restyled Clio will once once more become the best-selling car in France and the Austral is also enjoying great success. The future therefore promises to be bright.
Mon flop : the JOs from hell
I’m sure you often complain when you’re driving regarding traffic jams in Ile de France. Well, tell yourself that this is only the beginning. Indeed, with the Olympic Games, Paris and its surroundings will become hell for motorists. Between the lanes reserved for official vehicles on the main highways and on the ring road as well as the numerous driving bans linked to the conduct of the events, taking your car or two-wheeler will turn into a huge hassle.

Being optimistic, we might have said to ourselves that a little patience would be enough, well no because certain arrangements will be maintained following the events have taken place. Who do we say thank you? Thank you Anne.
My wish: more coherent policies
It is well known that there is often a gap between political decisions and reality. Thus, we want to facilitate access to electric cars by setting up, for example, social leasing. Ok, why not, but besides that, we deprive certain electric models which were the best-selling of the bonus and this also concerns certain particularly accessible models like the Dacia Spring, unfortunately manufactured in China. This is also the case for the market scarecrow MG4. But will all these government posturing really be effective knowing that this same MG4 will always remain less expensive than a Renault Megane E-Tech. Not sure that many French people are putting their national fiber into play while their purchasing power continues to decline.
