Renault Arkana Gets a Minor Facelift: Discover the Changes

Already mid-career, the Arkana benefits from a minor facelift. But to find what changes, it’s a bit like the game of 7 errors!

Just two years following its arrival on our roads, the Arkana is evolving. Difficult however to speak of a restyling, as the changes are light! Two reasons for this. On the one hand, the model is a great success, with 163,000 sales in two years, allowing Renault to set out once more to conquer the C segment. No need therefore to upset its appearance. On the other hand, Arkana should have a fairly short career, with a replacement starting in 2025. Losange has therefore limited spending!

The update is above all an opportunity to affix the new brand logo to the Arkana. The model receives a new grille with patterns that echo the diamond. At the rear, the lights take on a slightly smoky look. The chrome around the windows has been removed, replaced by decorative elements painted in black, satin black or gloss black depending on the finish.

And there is just something new in the range. After the RS Line and E-Tech Engineered, the top of the range is now the Esprit Alpine. This benefits from new 19-inch rims and a new spoiler on top of the trunk. Inside, the seats are adorned with blue stitching and the Alpine logo. Blue/white/red stitching is visible on the doors.

The access version is the Evolution, it now has navigation in the Easy Link multimedia system as standard. The latter also becomes wirelessly compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay systems. The Techno now takes on the sporty appearance of the old RS Lines, with a body-coloured slat in the front air intake.

No change under the hood, so we find the simple hybrid block of 145 hp. This represented almost two-thirds of sales in France in the first half of 2023. As a reminder, this engine combines two electric motors (a 36 kW “e-motor” and a high-voltage starter of the HSG type – High-Voltage Starter Generator- 18 kW) and a 4-cylinder 1.6-litre 94 hp petrol engine, combined with an intelligent clutchless multimode claw gearbox and a 1.2 kWh battery.

Orders for this “new” Arkana will open this summer.
