In the men’s 1500m quarter-finals on the same day, Ren Ziwei, who had previously won the mixed team relay and the men’s 1000m gold medals, advanced as the first in the group. Subsequently, the referee on duty determined that when Kazakhstan’s Galyakhmetov tried to overtake Ren Ziwei, Ren Ziwei had an arm blocking movement, so he was disqualified and missed the final.

Ren Ziwei said following the game that he thought there would be a foul in the collision with the South Korean player, but he did not expect to be awarded a foul in the collision with the Kazakh player. He admits that there are more ideas for this game.

In the three semi-finals, a number of players were awarded the final because of fouls by their opponents, so a total of 10 players appeared in the men’s 1500m final that night. South Korea’s Huang Daxian firmly took the lead following surpassing in the second half, and finally won the championship with a time of 2 minutes, 09 seconds and 219 seconds. Canadian Dubois and Yelistratov of the Russian Olympic Committee almost hit the line at the same time as Huang Daxian. In the end, the two won the silver and bronze medals in 2 minutes, 09 seconds, 254 and 2 minutes, 09 seconds, 267 respectively.

In the women’s 1000m preliminaries held on the same day, the three Chinese players Han Yutong, Qu Chunyu and Zhang Chutong all successfully advanced. In the first semi-final of the women’s 3000-meter relay, the Chinese team ranked second and advanced to the final hand in hand with the Dutch team that won the first place. In the other semi-finals, Canada and South Korea finished in the top two and were also shortlisted for the finals.
