The G/J Valdimir Padrino López, together with the military high command, delivered the spaces recovered from the Caracas Military Hospital “Dr. Carlos Arvelo.
Gabriela Jiménez, Sectoral Vice President of Science, Technology, Education and Health, also participated in the activity, according to the TVFANB twitter account.
Jiménez highlighted on his Twitter account that “the free and quality public health system continues to be strengthened with the training of doctors, specialists and nurses, (…) multiplying the well-being of the People.”
“In the company of G/J Vladimir Padrino López, we inaugurated the national reference service for Child Gastroenterology and Nutrition at the Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital,” the vice president reported.
He also reported that this attention to the health center is part of a clinical research project of the National Fund for Science, Technology and Innovation that includes adaptation of spaces and technological equipment.
He stressed that with more than 20 medical specialists and nursing staff, this service includes pediatric gastroenterology, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, nutrition and neonatology and neonatal therapy.
The Military Hospital is in charge of providing medical assistance to the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, it has an extensive peripheral care system in different departments.
Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, during his tenure, opened the doors of the hospital services for the care of the general public, thus providing protection to the Venezuelan people.
