In Remnant 2, you will have the choice between several classes called archetypes. But what you probably didn’t know is that in addition to those offered, a secret class had been added to the game! We invite you to discover how to unlock it in this article.
The secret class of Remnant 2, a nod to dataminers!
If you have been following the news of video games in recent years, you know that datamining has become an important source of information. Behind this term hides the fact of dig through game files for cluesespecially on what is likely to happen.
All games can be datamined and often are. So, for Remnant 2, the developers have decided to reward those able to dig into the game files with a whole new class! A class “only accessible to those who can see between worlds”.
Except that finding the existence of this new class, the Archon, in the game files was only the first part of the adventure. Indeed, once its existence has been confirmed, we had to look at the method to unlock this new archetype.
Again, as you can imagine, the whole procedure was hidden in the game files. Many files gave part of the procedure to follow to unlock the Archon. Now, all the files have been found and we know the procedure to follow!
Suffice to say that if these files had not been datamined, it would simply have been impossible to find the method to unlock this new class by chance. In effect, the procedure is not only quite long, but also more complex.
You will have to follow a series of indications and once it is done, you will have to go to the labyrinth. You can then open the Corrupted Door and in the back rooms, you will get your hands on a curious object, the “Strange Box”.
Then bring it to Wallace who is in Service 13. As a reward, he will give you the Hexahedron engram which you will then be able to use to equip the Archon archetype. As for the procedure to follow before going into the maze, here it is:
