The Liège Assize Court on Thursday sentenced Julien Broeders (32) to 30 years in prison. He was found guilty of the murder of Didier Bada (57 years old) and an attempted murder of an octogenarian woman whom he had previously raped. The events took place on November 2, 2021 in Remicourt.
The octogenarian was attacked at night at her home. The other victim is a neighbor who tried to help him.
Thursday morning, after three hours of deliberations, the jurors found him guilty. Premeditation of the facts was not accepted by the jury.
