With the absence of the La Cámpora group led by national deputy Gabriela Estévez, who will lead the Cordoba column in the national march, under the slogan “defense of democracy”, local human rights organizations will lead this followingnoon a mobilization for the central streets of the city of Córdoba, on the 47th anniversary of the military coup of 1976.
The traditional mobilization that takes place every year in Córdoba is scheduled to start around 5:00 p.m., on Colón and La Cañada avenues, to end on Hipólito Yrigoyen avenue (in front of Buen Pastor) with the reading of a document that will be read by union member Ilda Bustos .
At the closing of the central act, there will also be a greeting from Sonia Torres, a historical reference to the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo.
This year, 47 years following the military coup, the slogan in Córdoba is “Memory, Truth and Justice to defend Democracy.”
The call is from the Córdoba Human Rights Working Group and is for citizens in general, although political forces also participate.
By agreement between the different sectors that make up the Working Group for Human Rights, the locations in the column will have this order: human rights organizations; civil organizations; artists; guilds; students; social movements and political parties.
“This Friday we are in the streets, 47 years following the genocidal coup to defend democracy. For memory, for the truth, for justice and for the 30 thousand disappeared compañeras and compañeros”, is the slogan of the call of the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo led by the historic leader Sonia Torres.
