It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Guy Joseph Hebert, 57, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 7th, 2024, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.
His final weeks were spent surrounded by those who meant the most to him. He left with a peaceful and fulfilled soul.
Guy was born in Moncton to Marguerite Hebert (LeBlanc) and the late Theodore Hebert. He spent the rest of his life hoping to make those around him smile, and never gave up on his mission to ensure that his friends and loved ones knew they were loved and valued.
Guy will be sadly missed by his mother, Marguerite; his loving partner, Rachel Johnson; his daughter, Emily Hebert of Dieppe; the mother of his daughter, Suzanne Bossé ; his stepchildren: Stéphane (Joel), Jacques (Bria), and Mélanie (Jérémie); his step grandchildren: Jaxon, Melodie, Alexis, Brielle, and Leo; his brothers: Abel, Gérard (Jacqueline), Donald (Florine), Laurie (Lisa), and André (Gloria) all of Moncton; his brother-in-law, John Chase; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Guy was predeceased by his sister, Thérèse; and two brothers: Abel and Edouard.
Music was Guy’s passion. He was a talented singer and enjoyed performing for his friends and fans. He also adored hockey and was a proud fan of the Montreal Canadians. He gave back to his community by organizing many fundraisers and by coaching youth hockey despite his struggles with many health issues. He also served as a member of the Knights of Columbus for 30 years.
“I have seen my last tomorrow
I am holding my last breath
Goodbye, sweet world of sorrow
My new life begins with death”
~ Jamey Johnson
