Toronto: Shawn Barba aka Shauncy Barber is Canadian former world champion in men’s pole vault.
R passed away. He was only 29 years old. His agent Paul Doyle announced Sean’s death at his home in Kingswood, Texas, USA. Shawn won gold at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, China. Shawn also won gold at the Pan American Games that year. Since 2016, the Canadian pole vault record has been broken. So far no one has been able to break this record. Shaun’s best performance is 6 meters. As a college student, Barber was a member of the University of Akron’s track and field team. There he was a three-time N.C.A.A. Won the championship.
