The acting industry is still in mourning! A few hours following learning of the death of actress Zulay García, another star of the acting scene once once more puts us in mourning. This is Rosita Pelayo, one of the most prominent Mexican figures of recent years, who ceased to exist at 64 years of age. Her death occurred in the followingnoon of Saturday, December 16.
December does not stop bringing us sad news regarding the figures of Latin acting. This time it is the death of Rosa María Pelayo Vargas, known artistically as Rosita Pelayo. Her death leaves more than one generation in mourning that saw her play roles with great talent in “Cachún cachún ra ra!!,” Pecado de Oyuki”, among others.

But, what did the actress die of at 64 years of age? Was it an untimely death or was she already showing signs of a silent illness?
ROSITA PELAYO: WHAT DID THE MEXICAN ACTRESS DIED FROM?
At the beginning of December, Rosita Pelayo herself informed the press and her followers in general that she was being admitted to the hospital to have a cancerous tumor lodged in her colon removed. It turns out that the Monterrey histrionisa had been suffering from this silent illness for some time.
For this reason, the Mexican television figure began to present with body problems such as dehydration and anemia while fighting cancer. But it wasn’t until the presence of blood in her catheter that ended up making her enter the emergency room.
Unfortunately for all of us, our dear Rosita might not survive the hospitalization, since she urgently needs a second surgery for which she was requesting donations. The total cost exceeded 300 thousand pesos.

Days ago, the actress herself said through the program “Ventaneando” that she urgently needed chemotherapy processes.
“Everything is in the pelvis, the radiotherapy is done in the pelvis because everything was in the colon. The doctor removed the large tumor, but he did not remove the three little ones, the three compadres. So, they have to attack that with chemotherapy and radiotherapy,” the actress pointed out in dialogue with People in Spanish.
WHO WAS ROSITA PELAYO?
Although she is no longer on this level, Rosita Pelayo knew how to captivate the demanding Latin American audience with soap operas and renowned productions. She started on television in 1981 and closed her prolific career with a flourish in 2017 with the series “El César”, which narrates the life of the Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez.
However, we will always remember Rosita Pelayo for her appearances in Mexican classics like “Cachún cachún ra ra!!” in 1981, “Pecado de Oyuki” and “Flor y canela”, both in 1988, or “Días sin Luna” in 1990.
She had an extensive role in “Woman, Real Life Cases,” spanning almost 20 seasons from 1985 to 2004.
