The National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP) announced this Tuesday the death of Patrice Lecornu at the age of 65. The former right winger trained at ASPTT Caen experienced three professional clubs during his playing career: Red Star, Angers and Nantes. Born in Flers, in Orne, he also made three selections with the French team between 1979 and 1981.
Patrice Lecornu then coached Red Star for a few matches during the 1989-1990 season. Subsequently, he became training director of PSG between 2000 and 2005 before leading the reserve team of the capital club.
