Malmedy woke up in shock on Wednesday morning. The announcement of the sudden death of Michel Adam, a well-known restaurateur, went around the Cité du Cwarmê.
Former waiter at Cook’In, Michel Adam had taken over the Grill restaurant located on Place Albert 1er, which he then changed the name to call it “L’AdamRé”. In June 2022, he took over the sandwich shop “La Maison de Charlotte”, which was managed by his partner.

The restaurant team notably announced the information on Facebook on Wednesday. “Dear customers, our beloved boss passed away last night. In these circumstances, the restaurant will remain closed for an indefinite period. Thank you for your understanding. We also ask you to honor his memory and not to inundate us with indiscreet questions”, explains the AdamRé team.
Jovial, Michel Adam was a very popular restaurateur in the region. A fan of Standard de Liège, he was still at Sclessin last weekend.
