The sanjuanera cumbia singer Kevin Pedraza died at the age of 19 when he was returning home following going to university. After the accident, he was transferred to the Lambayeque Regional Hospital.
According to the investigations that have been carried out so far, Pedraza was riding his motorcycle, at a high speed, and collided with a truck. Immediately, he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), since his diagnosis revealed: severe head trauma, multiple system trauma, aspiration pneumonia, and fractured wrist and tibia.

Who was Kevin Pedraza
The musician was born in the city of Jaén (Peru) and had a cumbia band called “sanjuanera” and they were called “Kevin Pedraza & La Auténtica Pasión”, which had the father of the young artist as its manager and representative. Some of the best-known songs by the group are “La Carpuela”, “Por un Caminito”, and “Tu amor comprare”.
Despite his young age, Kevin had great talent, which allowed him to delight audiences and win fans in his artistic career. His early departure caused a void in the scene and he will be remembered in the music industry. In addition to his passion for music, the young man was studying Accounting at the Technological University of Peru (UTP).

On social networks, the fans and colleagues of the young artist showed their pain at such a sudden farewell. His best friend, Junior Mendoza, published a sad message where he wrote: “Today we say goodbye to a great singer with a humble heart, who was always willing to support others.”

The singer’s father gave details of the accident: “It was approximately 11 in the morning, he was on the motorcycle returning to the university, he leaves to study and this misfortune happens, he studied accounting.” On the other hand, his mother, who was traveling by bus, heard cries for help on the road, and realized from the helmet of the motorcycle that the victim was her son. “Very terrified, she gets out of the car to help her son,” she said.
Former mayor Luis Solórzano did not hesitate to dedicate a few words to the artist via Twitter: “Goodbye Kevin Pedraza! It hurts when a young Peruvian leaves being able to give more of his talent to our country, a young artist who made northern Peru vibrate ”.
