A companion of Captain Thomas Sankara and fervent defender of the 1983 Burkinabè revolution, Boukary Kaboré, known as the “Lion”, was an active supporter of Sankara’s policy aimed at promoting education, health and the emancipation of women.

After the assassination of the latter, he took refuge in neighboring Ghana. After 4 years of exile, he returned to get involved in politics.

After the rejection of his 2020 presidential candidacy, the man who also claimed to be “koglweogo” had gradually withdrawn from the political scene.
