Former minister and president of the PSC Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb died on Wednesday April 19, his family announced.
A well-known figure in Belgian politics, he was notably Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1980-1981 and Minister of the Interior from 1981 to 1986.
During the political crisis of 2007 (149 days without a new government), Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb was one of the Ministers of State consulted by King Albert II.
At 78, he still stands out by completing a master’s degree in philosophy at UCL.
