On Wednesday, February 28, content and music creator Catherine Janice Ipsan, known as Cat Janice, passed away, as reported by her family through her social networks. “This morning, from her childhood home and surrounded by her loving family, Catherine peacefully entered the light and love of her heavenly creator,” she reads in a post on Instagram.

“We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of love that Catherine and our family have received over the past few months. Cat watched her music go places she never expected and she rests in peace knowing that she will continue to support her child through her music. “This would not have been possible without all of you,” they add in the text, accompanied by an image of the influencer.

At the end of the message it is specified that his brother will be in charge of keeping his accounts active as a commemoration. “He will also manage all operations related to Cat’s music, merchandise and public relations. At Cat’s request, there is more art that she also wants to share. All in due time from her,” she ends by saying the message written by the music family.

Who was Cat Janice?

Cat Janice was an influencer and musician who was found to have a lump on her neck in November 2021. Months later it was learned that it was cancer. The content creator shared with her followers the treatments and processes carried out to combat the disease. In mid-2022 she managed to go into remission, but regarding a year later the disease returned.

The artist composed the song “Dance You Outta My Head” for her seven-year-old son. The single went viral on social networks, especially on TikTok. Weeks following being published, the song began to appear on several charts, including Billboard and iTunes. It was number 37 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. It reached number 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 on February 17, while on iTunes, the song reached number 7 worldwide.
