A year following the death of Bob Saget at the age of 65, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Dave Coulier paid tribute to him on social networks.

A year ago, Bob Saget died at the age of 65. At the time, the tributes flocked, whether it was his colleagues from Hollywood or his comrades from The house party who worked alongside him for almost ten years. On the anniversary of his death, members of that same team, including Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Dave Coulier, spoke regarding the loss that continues to affect them.

« I just wanted you to know that I’ve been thinking regarding you every day for the past yearwrote Sweetin on Instagram. It’s just not the same without you with us, and I don’t think it will ever be like that once more. I wish you were there in the last year…there are so many times you were meant to be there. So many times I thought regarding calling you and being like, “What would Bob be doing right now?” Most of the time the answer to this question is “he would make a joke of it”… so I do. A lot. Even when I probably shouldn’t have. »

She added: ” It’s those times when I hear you over my shoulder, laughing the hardest. So many times, this year alone, I’ve wanted to hear that you were proud of me. »

The actress recalled a recent appearance she made at West Hollywood club The Comedy Store where nerves almost got the better of her until she saw a picture of Saget hanging on the wall that soothed his anxiety. “ I stood there in front of your picture and thanked youshe added. In my mind, we talked in silence. I was nervous, your picture reminded me that I didn’t have to be… that you were there. For all time. For each of us. So many people miss you today. So many memories, from so many people, for so many years. »

« I stayed up for hours watching videos of Bob on my phone. Videos I mightn’t watch a year ago because it hurt too muchBure wrote. Last night they made me laugh. They comforted me and warmed my heart. I watched them over and over once more and laughed so hard. I miss him so much and am grateful that he was my friend for so many years. I love you Bob *Now go hug a friend like Bob would ».

For his part, Coulier recounted his first meeting with Saget when he was 18 years old and doing stand-up in Detroit. ” We became instant brothershe recalled. Sometimes I still pick up my phone, ready to share one of the hundreds of silly things we’ve done together. At some point today I will think regarding how much I miss him and shed a few tears. Then I’ll hear Bob’s voice, and it’ll make me laugh. Enjoy life’s gifts while they’re still here with you. Tell those you love that you love them…and hug them like Bob Saget. »
