released todaythe application SongCapsule Quizfrom the Brazilian developer Sorcererhat, rescues this experience — with the right to a well-built interface! The app uses your Apple Music playlists, in addition to offering other playlists if you don’t have any saved, to do the quiz sessions.
The interface itself is similar to that of a music streaming service, allowing you to listen to songs on the player and select the playlist whose songs you want to quiz. Four options are displayed for guessing which song is playing; each correct answer gives a score of up to 1.000depending on how quickly you chose the correct option.
As the user progresses, they go through four different levels, with specific difficulty and questions regarding other details such as artist, album and year of release. It’s great fun to spend time alone or with other people — maybe sharing one side of the headphones, for example!
At the end of a “match”, the app displays which songs you got right, how many points you earned for each one, in addition to which ones you got wrong. You can share the results with friends and the app even has integration with Game Center, showing the efforts of the developers to insert several of the available resources.
The SongCapsule Quiz will cost R$50 in the App Store, but it’s on sale (at half price) for a limited time. You must be running iOS 16 or later to download the app, as well as being an Apple Music subscriber to be able to use it.
