Remedy announces remakes of the first two Max Payne

As same without remakes in our something time.

At this late hour, nothing foreshadowed interesting news, but the Finnish studio Remedy is therefore considered capable of surprising, because you can expect good news from it at any moment. So, literally just Remedy reported that it has entered into an agreement with Rockstar Games, under which it will develop remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2 The Fall of Max Payne.

Both remakes will be created on the modern Northlight engine, on which Control and Quantum Break were developed, and Alan Wake 2 is being created. Remedy will act as a developer, and Rockstar Games as a publisher, since the rights to the franchise belong to the “stars”.

As for the positioning of the remakes, they will in all respects correspond to AAA-class games. This means a high development budget for a large audience. Development will be conducted for PC and current generation consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S).

It’s unclear when a release should be expected, but both remakes will be included in a single compilation. In Russia, we, apparently, will not play these projects – at least legally – since Rockstar is part of Take-Two Interactive, which has suspended its activities in our country for an indefinite period.
