The Media Network for Development (REMED) pledged on Wednesday, April 19, to recover approximately 3,182 unvaccinated children in the Kailo health zone (Maniema).
To do so, this structure intends to train the social actors involved in the chain of vaccine operations, starting with the nurses.
This campaign will be carried out with the financial support of UNICEF.
As a prelude to this vaccination operation, REMED is working to train the members of the Kailo health zone management team, the titular nurses and their deputies, the local superiors, the local facilitators and the politico-administrative authorities. on essential family practices.
For his part, Kailo Health Zone Chief Medical Officer Dr. Michael Kuba welcomes REMED’s new philosophies and expects good results:
“In any case, we had faith and we also had the conviction, also from REMED’s experience, we first had expectations in relation to the philosophy that they will follow to complete the project, and we have them. also advised in relation to what did not work and since we started there has been a sincere sharing of information, there is a chronogram that has been done and I think it is really a good step in relation to to what REMED has done and we congratulate them for that”.
Concerning the trained agents, this doctor affirms that the subjects have been simplified and adapted to their level, for the benefit of the dynamism to be created and between the population and the health centers.
He is delighted with the financial support of UNICEF, which is a privileged partner in the area responding to the problems posed by the population.
