Remains of a Cuban doctor murdered in Ecatepec will be repatriated to the island: Edomex Prosecutor’s Office

The Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) confirmed the murder of the Cuban doctor Ernesto Oliva Legra32 years old, last Friday, August 12, in a hospital in Ecatepec, following he was transferred to another hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.

The institution assured Aristegui News that takes steps before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) to repatriate the body to the island of Cuba.

The events occurred last Friday in a hospital in the Tierra Blanca neighborhood in Ecatepec, which was entered by two armed individuals and They went to the reception area of ​​the hospital, where they asked regarding a patient.

Since there was no record of her, they threatened an employee and they forced him to open the access door to the medical care areas, on the second floor of the building.

There, they shot two women who died on the spot. One of them was a young woman of approximately 20 years of age, who worked as a nurse; the other, 56 years old, had gone to visit a relative who was hospitalized.

The Cuban doctor was injured in the shooting and died hours later, in another hospital to which he was transferred for specialized care.

The Prosecutor’s Office reported that it opened an investigation folder for intentional homicide and gunshot wounds.

Last Friday, agents from the Prosecutor’s Office went to the scene of the events to carry out the first investigations.

Relatives of Oliva Legra announced the news on social networks, same that was confirmed by the Mexican prosecutor’s office.
