2024-02-24 23:55:27

A new test phase begins Saturday on the Deux-Montagnes section of the REM when two cars will travel at low speed between the Saint-Eustache maintenance center and the Sainte-Dorothée station.

This exercise, which will last until March 3, will, among other things, validate the components of the cars and check the tracks and platforms.

This is one of the necessary steps to prepare this section for the start of tests on the line this spring.

Sound level meters will be installed in strategic locations along the route to assess the noise impact of passing cars, according to the REM website.

The entry into service date for the Deux-Montagnes section is scheduled for the end of 2024, just like that of Anse-à-l’Orme.
