Three Christian places of worship, including a Catholic church, were attacked in Myanmar.

A Catholic church was attacked in Kaya State and a Baptist church in Chin State. These are places where there is a large Christian presence.

Air force attacked these places of worship. The attack took place on August 12 and 14. In Annad since 2021, in the fight between government forces and government rebels, around 100 religious places, including 55 Christian buildings, have been attacked.

Out of the 16 dioceses of Annadu, five dioceses namely Loikov, Pekon, Hakka, Kalay and Mandalay have been subjected to series of attacks.

Christians make up only 6 percent of Myanmar’s population of 5.4 million.
