PUNTA DEL ESTE.- The department of Maldonado began a relentless search for a 17-year-old girl, who left his house on Tuesday afternoon and did not return. Valentina Cancela Sarmoria17, was last seen at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at stop seven on Playa Brava in Punta del Este, when she was going to meet her ex-boyfriend on the beach, with whom he had a turbulent relationship: he had denounced him in June for gender violence and had a restraining orderaccording to relatives told the Uruguayan newspaper Underlined.

The young woman was wearing a dark jacket and had a blue backpack that was found this Wednesday by local police.
