A mod is coming out for this installment of Assassin’s Creed that finally unlocks much of the potential that the original version squandered back in 2014.
A surprising mod has been released for Assassin’s Creed Unity that finally allows it to reveal its full potential. Players will finally be able to enjoy one of the best parkour playgrounds by crossing Paris in an even smoother way thanks to this mod. When it was released on November 11, 2014, Assassin’s Creed Unity was highly controversial. It was the first installment of Assassin’s Creed to leave behind the seventh generation of consoles, that of Xbox 360 and PS3.
The title therefore took advantage of the power of the new consoles to display graphics never before equaled in the saga. But the problem when it was released was not the graphics, but the incessant visual bugs and performance issues that made the game almost unplayable. This has improved over time thanks to numerous patches, but the reputation of the software when it was launched has remained.
The cutthroat of Notre-Dame
It was “Ghost_LeaderBG” on the Reddit Assasin’s Creed page who shared the link to the mod aimed at fix lots of annoying bugs and improve player comfort. The mod is titled “ACUFixes” and it packs a whole bunch of little fixes that, when all put together, make up one of the most ambitious hobbyist patches for this title, becoming a must-have for PC gamers.
As fun as it is to go back and improve games that are soon to be 10 years old, the Assassin’s Creed license still has projects in store. Ubisoft has announced that it is working on 11 different Assassin’s Creed games, between single-player, multi-player, mobile and VR experiences. After the break following the last Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft seems to be betting a lot on the famous assassin license.
