Is it a direct remake?

It is a long-running RPG that takes players through the towns, cities, and regions that they first experienced when the cloud was a few purple and yellow polygons. It gives depth to the characters who were on the fringes of Final Fantasy 7, and shows the world before a certain soldier became obsessed with killing the planet.
Second, Square Enix is extraordinarily interested in bringing the game to new consoles. While the company has ported PS2-era games like Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts to every console imaginable, Crisis Core has yet to receive any kind of improved handling. It’s unusual because it’s not like it wasn’t popular: more than two million copies of the game have been sold. And even Reunion, you’ll need a PSP to play Crisis Core.

In the 1997 movie Final Fantasy 7, only Jack Vert is seen in flashback scenes. Anyone who’s played the game knows that Jack was Cloud’s mentor and saved his life – but was shot dead by the Shinra fighters before the events of Final Fantasy 7. It made you care more regarding Jack and his relationships with the other characters, making his inevitable fate even more devastating.

Perhaps most importantly, it leaves the fate of Jack’s gallery unknown. At the end of the Final Fantasy 7 remake, we see Jack recovering from an attack by the Shinra fighters that ends his story in other dimensions. At the end of Final Fantasy 7 Intergrade, a DLC pack featuring Yuffie, Jack heads to Churchill in Sector 7 to find Erith, a former flame, only to discover she’s gone. So we know Zach is alive, although it’s not clear what dimension he is in.
