You only have to gently caress the screen of your tablet to see that the “love room” phenomenon is growing. More and more Varois and Riviera residents are economically enticed to convert ordinary accommodation into a multi-equipped relaxation/naughty space.
The neat, romantic and cozy style is in principle the norm in this type of place, but its growth and democratization – notably via Airbnb – are such that some do not hesitate to offer to play the “first prize” Cupid in their …mobile home refreshed for the occasion with sybarite guns camping version…
Multitude de concepts
We understand, the concept is available in a wide variety of styles, sizes and destinations. An alternative to traditional accommodation which is not yet praised by Var Tourisme.
However, it plows its furrow in the Azuro-Var landscapes where the attraction of carnal pleasures reactivates stalled libidos.
The idea of adding spice to your life as a couple or indulging in more libertine, even adulterous experiences, far from your home sweet home, remains alive and well in a modern society which no longer has anything constrained. But where the Marquis de Sade would always end up imprisoned.
“A surprising gift to rekindle the flame”

Sandra is rather shy. Light eyes, long hair and a well-groomed figure, this thirty-year-old from Toulouse came to the love room, somewhat by chance, during her research on the Internet.
“I wanted a surprising birthday gift for my partner. So I embarked on this reservation through Facebook. We had a champagne dinner in a very cozy setting, took advantage of everything that was at our disposal and in the end it was quite incredible. We rediscovered ourselves. All this helped to rekindle the flame because we have to be clear, between the children and the daily routine, following a certain time it’s not really that anymore.. .”she smiled.
The catalog of “love rooms” being vast, not everyone is as lucky as Sandra, at the risk of seeing their enthusiasm “stunted” following a full-on online reservation!
“We found ourselves in an ultra-basic love room. A unique room furnished with everything in it, but nothing exceptional. Plus the room was heated to 19°! I called the owner to ask her to increase the temperature, but she didn’t want to know anything, claiming that it was too expensive for her. We didn’t undress to do anything and ran away from this place!”storm Jimmy.

Restaurateur in Draguignan, Benoît emerges very cheerful from his experience in a Var love room.
“We were going to have a little weekend in Saint-Tropez with a friend who likes new experiences. She loved it! I had planned the champagne, we ordered sushi and then it was playtime! The fact to have all these possibilities available is quite wonderful. We enjoyed the aperitif in the jacuzzi, the massages with essential oils, even the “hotter” devices… Afterwards we try out what we want. I must say that the sexual games with the cage were particularly appreciated. It lasted an hour. I won’t tell you what you had to do to be released.” tells the exhilarated story of this fifty-year-old single man who usually frequents swingers’ clubs.

“Amazing experience”. The first comments left on the Guestbook of Eden’s Garden, the latest of the Var love rooms, are flattering.
But before becoming the owner of the “Jardin d’Eden”, Jérôme Schmitz had to roll up his sleeves and transform himself into a “construction heavyweight” to develop his love nest with a view of the Maures massif.
An opportunity that presented itself last January when this forty-year-old was able to buy two lots in Font-Mourier, a residential area straddling Cogolin and Gassin, and connect them together on three levels in the “Tunnel of Love” style.
“The idea came regarding two years ago during a trip to eastern France with my wife. While wanting to book our hotel room, we came across a “love room” ad.. We were celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary and we thought it would be nice to make the most of it while spicing up the stay with facilities that we don’t necessarily have at home.”explains Jérôme, an “ordinary” male who claims not to cultivate any libertine inclinations.
For two weeks, his brand new property has been on the market with an emphasis on the cozy modern atmosphere. And the services!
St. Andrew’s Cross on the door
“When customers arrive, the lights are dimmed, the steam fireplace is lit, the coffee, soft drinks and treats basket area is prepared and linens are available”lists the master of the place as the exploration of additional pleasures begins.
From the most classic like the XL jacuzzi, the sauna, the massage table…, to the more “caliente” with cage or St. Andrew’s cross surprisingly located.
“As I had no more space, I ended up attaching it to the front door”Jérôme laughs before inviting us upstairs where the temperature is rising…
Facing the king size bed decorated with erotic “literature”, a whole arsenal of sexual equipment is lulled by a light doped with pink neon lights.
Automated “Fuck machine” from Germany, various and varied swings, friendly floggers or strange padded box to insert your head, are self-service.
Only one last accessory is missing… “Each couple receives a suction cup dildo as a welcome gift which they then adapt to the machines according to their wishes”, explains Jérôme, who ordered the nude paintings that adorn the walls from his mother.
Absolute discretion for illegitimate couples
Playing the Eros in complete peace and quiet obviously requires maximum soundproofing from the surrounding area.
“For the moment, overnight stays are preferred. People mainly come from Var, Marseille, Nice… The majority of couples are between 40 and 50 years old. Some may be illegitimate. The advantage of this concept is absolute discretion”he continues.
Indeed, everything is done over the Internet. Once the reservation has been made and paid (370 euros per day from 5 p.m. – 11 a.m.), a code dialed on the threshold gives access to a key to enter.
So far no damage to report except one of the Sauna’s Securit windows which was shattered. “A gentleman accidentally hit him with a bottle. We are assured”minore Jérôme who welcomes a new couple this weekend.
Currently listed in the “Unusual Accommodation” section on the reservation platforms, Eden’s Garden is getting along nicely.
“I’m giving myself six months/a year and especially the summer test in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez to decide if I continue. But it’s the investment of a lifetime so I believe in it 100%” , concludes Jérôme as he closes the cage.
Rules, options… and prohibitions
Please note: if “freedom to undertake” is king in the land of “love rooms”, some strict rules apply in the majority of cases. First basic rule, the ban on minors, animals and smoking.
Other principles are often included in the regulations. “Gatherings, bachelor parties or parties in general are not allowed. It’s the number that bothers me, because it’s the door open to excesses… Afterwards if two couples come at the same time for “s ‘fun’ is OK”, underlines this manager of a Var address.
“We know very well what it is: a brothel! What else do you want us to call it?”rails a neighbor who is on guard regarding the comings and goings that liven up the surrounding area.
The fear of seeing disguised prostitution emerge behind the “innocent” “love room” questions some. “I have control over all reservations with names and telephone numbers of customers. If by chance I saw recurring reservations, I would have reason to alert me. So far this is not the case”certifies a rental company.
More enjoyable, “love rooms” like to highlight the extras. Among the classics, the chilled bottle of champagne or the games kit for adults supposed to make the cheeks turn even more pink!
Japan: the extravagant pioneers
According to carbon-14 dating by experts and archaeologists on the subject, these dens of “lying pleasures” were born in the land of the Rising Sun at the beginning of the Showa era (1926-1989)… “Day rooms for couples ” used for a few hours and without necessarily spending the night there.
