Married in 1986, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson separated in 1992. Parents of Eugénie (33 years old) and Béatrice (35 years old), they might well remarry according to the Dailymail, almost thirty years following their divorce. Apparently very happy for his brother, King Charles has already given his blessing to this union. Although Prince Andrew no longer needs the King’s permission to marry (only the first six in the lineage need it), Her Majesty’s approval remains very important to him.

A source also added to the tabloid that the wedding is expected to take place at the small royal chapel at All Saints, near the home where Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson reside, at Royal Lodge. This is also where Princess Beatrice was married in 2020, at the time of the pandemic.

As a reminder, Prince Andrew proposed at Floors Castle, in the Scottish Borders, on February 19, 1986. After their separation, the duo remained on good terms and maintained a friendly relationship despite the Duke’s involvement of York in court cases involving his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The happiest divorced couple in the world

The Duke and Duchess also still share their home, the Royal Lodge, in Windsor Great Park. An element which means that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are often nicknamed the “happiest divorced couple in the world“They would live in separate rooms but often share tea time.”We live in the same house, but it’s a big house, so it’s okay“, declared Sarah Ferguson, who is fighting skin cancer following being affected by breast cancer.

In an interview given to Telegraph in 2021, the Duchess also declared: “We are mutually supportive co-parents who believe family is everything. I am proud of the work we have done together to raise our children and maintain a strong family unit. Our watchwords are communication, compromise and compassion.
