BOLZANO. The first legislative commission of the provincial council of Bolzano rejected the bill for the “reduction of expenditure for the economic treatment of regional councilorsabolition of various allowances and introduction of a purely contributory pension scheme”, presented by the president of the regional council Josef Noggler.
The proposal in recent days had aroused controversy because on the one hand it entailed a reduction in public expenditure, but also an increase in net income for the directors of a few hundred euros, thanks to some tax relief. After an extensive general debate, the passage to the discussion of the article was rejected with 8 no and 3 abstentions.
