”The situation at Mons prison is difficult for prison officers. There are still four vacant positions and three are occupied by contract workers. For the four vacant positions, we will call upon a recruitment reserve. During this first term of 2024, it is planned to relaunch a selection procedure for prison officers for all of Wallonia. This procedure aims both to be able to recruit externals to fill the last vacant places in the framework and to give status to contract workers currently in service.”

He further specifies that level of administrative functions, 4 people must soon enter service. Once effective entry into office, the framework will be complete. In terms of psychiatric nursing functions, a modification of the framework is underway.” The minister pledged to visit Mons prison as soon as possible, as his predecessor had done before him.
