Rehabilitation of 17 Abu Dhabi Police officers in the Young Leaders Program

The Department of Police and Security Institutes at the Saif bin Zayed Academy for Policing and Security Sciences, in cooperation with the Human Resources Sector in Abu Dhabi Police, celebrated the graduation of 17 elite officers in various police sectors from the Young Leadership Development Program, which focused on the concepts and patterns of effective leaders in police institutions, their modern trends, and effective communication rules. Major General Thani Butti Al Shamsi, Director of the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences, stressed during the graduation the importance of team building as one of the most important pillars of successful government administration and arming new generations with science and knowledge that contribute to qualifying new leaders to complete the process of development and progress initiated by the founding leaders by consolidating leadership and excellence. Building successful work teams, refining leadership skills, and developing and highlighting the qualities of a successful leader, according to the latest modern methods of personal leadership development.
The graduates were acquainted with the skills of assimilation of basic concepts in personal and institutional performance management, police work protocols, legislation and laws of Abu Dhabi Police, the basic features of the approach and philosophy of the late founder of the country, God willing, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, and the elements and determinants of his leadership model in police work .
The participants gained new knowledge in defining the administrative process and its functions in leadership, applying competitiveness standards and indicators to police services and modern methods to enhance positive energy and institutional and career happiness, in addition to many axes and topics that contribute to the development of young leaders.
