In the opening speech, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan affirmed that Yen Bai province always pays attention to leading and directing the preservation, protection and promotion of cultural heritage values in the cause of economic development. socio-economic; consider this an important task, one of the driving forces creating the identity and endogenous strength in the development process of the province.
The whole province currently has 132 ranked relics; 714 intangible cultural heritage. Recently, on January 16, 2023, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 73/QD-BVHTTDL to officially register the Dong Cuong Temple Traditional Festival in the List of Cultural Heritages national level intangible.
The traditional festival of Dong Cuong temple plays a particularly important role in the cultural and spiritual life of the community. Cultural identity in the Dong Cuong Temple Festival has been maintained, practiced by the community, handed down from generation to generation, with strong pervasiveness in the cultural and spiritual life of Vietnamese people.

Dong Cuong is an ancient temple located on the Red River in the territory of Ben Den village, Dong Cuong commune, Van Yen district. For a long time, Dong Cuong has been famous as one of the sacred temples and recognized as a National Historical-Cultural Relic.
