Regional special healthcare management due to cyber attack against Sophiahemmet – News

Published 2 days ago

Regional special health care management (RSSL) has been activated in staff mode since late last Tuesday evening due to the cyber attack directed at Sophiahemmet.

Some security-related protective measures have been taken which have consequences for parts of the IT environment at Sophiahemmet’s hospital area. This means that some healthcare providers will no longer have access to the region’s records system and related systems for a period in the future. The region is following the development of events closely, and the hope is to restore functionality for affected care providers as soon as possible. For the time being, affected care providers need to switch to manual routines in certain work processes. The measures do not affect other healthcare providers in the region.

Facts standby modes:

The special healthcare managements can make decisions regarding in which
standby mode the crisis management must be in. The three standby modes are staff mode, reinforcement mode and disaster mode.

Staff mode

Emergency mode, which means that a special healthcare management stays informed regarding the situation, takes the necessary measures and follows the development of events.

Gain mode

Emergency mode, which means that a special healthcare management takes measures to strengthen certain important functions.

Disaster mode

Emergency mode, which means that a special healthcare management takes measures to strengthen all important functions.
