The autumn cultural environment conference is arranged on 3–4 October. This year’s theme is “When new meets old”. The conference takes place in Sundsvall, which is celebrating its 400th anniversary this year.
In four hundred years, a city has time to change a lot and many environments remain from previous centuries. How do we best combine new needs, energy requirements and architecture with the old? This year’s theme focuses on a city that is growing, where the new meets the old.
The conference is aimed at everyone who works with construction processes and community planning in the county, both municipal and regional officials, politicians and private actors.
Organizers are the Västernorrland Museum, Region Västernorrland, the County Administrative Board Västernorrland in collaboration with the municipality of Sundsvall and the Swedish Building Conservation Association. The conference is free of charge, but cancellation must be made at least two weeks before the event takes place. The place can also be transferred to another person.
