Located at Niolon station, T’Cap21 is an association created by a group of parents affected by Down’s syndrome in their children, who are willing to carry out numerous actions aimed at their development. Their ambition is to promote the integration of young people with Down syndrome, whether to study, work, shop, plan simple leisure activities, in short, to live as any citizen should be able to do. “The students of Caucadis have decided to integrate an association as part of a masterpiece that they must achieve for their CAP logistics operator“, specifies Laureen Galindo, teacher.
It was Kevin, in his 2nd year of CAP, who brought his association: “My godmother is the mother of a child with this congenital chromosomal anomaly. I find all the activities they practice despite their handicaps very interesting and I discovered by working with them that they each had great abilities.” What Jean-Philippe confirms: “We provide a lot of services in the restoration of the majestic building of the Niolon station and through our Train inc café, we share coffee and cookies with the walkers in the calanque with whom we discuss our handicap.”
The morning of integration to introduce these five young people with this disability to the logistics professions began with the learning of inventory management, then the handling of handling equipment and ended with a conference aimed at to change the way people look at Down’s syndrome, because carriers are still too often victims of discrimination.
