The Tarascon specialized reception center was transformed, in a few hours, into a farm where the animals roamed freely, to the delight of patients and residents. Initiated by the facilitator of the USLD and assisted by the facilitator of the MAS, this day rich in emotions took place in the presence of the Sédona farm, straight from Saint-Martin de Crau.
After being invited to eat a giant paella, the residents of the various EHPADs in Tarascon and Beaucaire had the right to pet and take photos with around twenty animals, as shown by the photos. Rabbits, pigs, chicks, geese, ponies, alpacas, goats, sheep, ferrets, turtles and many others, this afternoon remains in the memory of many people.
An appointment that was successful and beneficial to some residents and certain pathologies encountered, through zootherapy, or animal therapy. By coming into contact with the animal, the person is soothed, relaxed and enjoys the moment in connection with the animal. This is exactly what happened for most of the residents, who did not fail to carry the animals, pet them and take care of them, thus forgetting the external worries. The animals are accustomed to contact with humans and allowed the residents to spend a day rich in emotions.
