To get an appointment with a gynecologist, it is better to do it in advance. Françoise Germain, obstetrician and sonographer ciotadenne warns: “Waiting times vary between 3 and 6 months”. Of course, for emergencies, “it is possible to come before”, she reassures. But when it comes to a first consultation or a follow-up, it is impossible to bend the schedule. So, some patients have found a solution: turn to midwives. The latter have been able to provide gynecological follow-up since 2009. However, their skills are still unknown to the general public. But beware, “we only receive those who are in good health”, indicates Mathilde Marchais, liberal midwife La Ciotat.
