An infant mortality rate well above the regional average (+60%). Chronic diseases overrepresented (from +20% to +40% depending on the pathologies) compared to the rest of the territory. Excess mortality from infectious diseases (+80% for AIDS, +90% for influenza) compared to the rest of the region… The figures collected by Inserm between 2012 and 2016 reveal what may constitute the first of the inequalities to which is faced by the population of the northern districts: access to care. Inequality in health in the 13, 14, 15 and 16th arrondissements reinforced by the non-replacement of general practitioners retiring and the difficulty of convincing specialists to settle in this part of the city.
