It’s a never-ending story that has been going on for eight years now. Philippe Tribaudeau claims to be “hypersensitive electro”. For eight years he has lived reclusively in a makeshift camp near Le Vançon, in the commune of Entrepierres, far from the waves. In 2008, this former professor of technology declares the symptoms of electrohypersensitivity (EHS), the electromagnetic waves cause him strong migraines. This pathology is little studied and not recognized in France. Since the onset of his symptoms, Philippe has not found suitable housing for his health problem. It is in the middle of the larches that he therefore took up residence and set up his two caravans. This white zone allows him to live sheltered from the waves, on the fringes of the outside world.
A case that might go to court
So far the presence of Philippe Tribaudeau on this land was tolerated, as specified in the letter of formal notice to leave the premises signed by Benoît Loussier, director of the National Office of Forests of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. “Considering that the tolerance granted since 2018 due to the imminent prospect of a possible reception in Saint-Julien-en-Beauchêne no longer needs to be extended, and that you have taken steps to oppose the management of the forest where you have settled without right or title, the situation can no longer remain as it is“For several years, Philippe Tribaudeau hoped to be able to be rehoused in a suitable center in Durbon but the project was finally abandoned last year, leaving Philippe at an impasse.”I’m the first to want to leave this land but I have no other option“. He repeatedly looked for other places where he would not feel the effects of the waves, in vain.”If the State is not able to find me another place to live, in a white zone, compatible with my electrohypersensitivity then let me live here“. Philippe Tribaudeau had to leave the premises before February 28th.
For the time being, for lack of a solution, he remains on his camp although the ONF threatens him to engage once morest him “appropriate litigation procedures” underlines the mail. “It’s hard not to think regarding it every day…“says Philippe Tribaudeau, stressed.
For the moment, the “hypersensitive electro” is considering initiating summary proceedings to challenge the ONF’s decision.
