CHAIRMAN of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership Haedar Nashir respects the decision of President-elect Prabowo Subianto regarding the parties who are worthy of filling ministerial positions in the new government cabinet. Prabowo, he continued, is considered to have mastered the map of Indonesia and the map of societal power.
“Those chosen by him (to become ministers) will also represent various professions, groups and forces in society,” he explained, Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMY) Campus, Yogyakarta, Friday (4/10).
He believes that the composition of President-elect Prabowo Subianto’s government cabinet will represent various professions, groups and forces in society.

He will respect and trust whoever he chooses. Haedar also did not want to speculate on the people who would be appointed as ministers after being inaugurated as president on October 20 2024.
“We are waiting for October 20. Everything (ministerial appointments) is the president’s prerogative. We respect it, we respect it,” he explained.
Haedar advised that the future ministers are expected to be able to develop Indonesia not only from the physical aspect, but also body and soul.
“So, Greater Indonesia cannot only be physical, but it must also have a soul, build a soul,” explained Haedar.
The thing that concerns Muhammadiyah is that Indonesia develops physically and physically and must become one integrated unit, in spirit. (AT/J-3)
