Refusal to issue licenses to RUISHUN ships: Charlotte Daffé victim of her loyalty to the law…

For the past few days, manipulation and disinformation campaigns have been means by which malignant people have been using to put pressure on the authorities of Conakry regarding a request for a license for vessels which, in reality, are not in the rules. And, the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, who stood in the way of an attempted fraud for the registration of the now famous RUISHUN ships, is presented as the villain in the film.

Relatives of a famous businessman, working in the fishing sector, have succeeded in instrumentalizing women fishmongers once morest the State when in reality, these brave ladies are victims trapped in the same way as the State which was able to unearth the deception and took responsibility.

Poisons for which they have already given money as they usually do, are slow in coming. As the days pass without fish, their patience shows its limits, the pressure increases. In fact, the Department of Fisheries did not issue licenses for the vessels that were to ship these fish. For what ? While these women fishmongers are simply told that it is the Minister of Fisheries, Charlotte Daffé, who is blocking things, the non-attribution of licenses to these vessels is rather due to the fact that they are not in good standing and also reveals a real attempt at fraud which was going to cost the minister and the Guinean State dearly, which has just come out of European Union sanctions.

Seized of a request for registration by Guinean women close to the businessman, the Ministry of Fisheries did well to check as always to avoid awarding these licenses to vessels which should not have them. And, one of the steps is to do a check to make sure that the said ships have no bad history with neighboring countries and those members of the European Union. The other step in this case was to verify whether these vessels really belong to Guineans as allegedly claimed by license applicants.

In an exchange of letters between Minister Charlotte Daffé and the Chinese Embassy, the head of the Fisheries Department sought to find out regarding the true owners of the said vessels. The answer was clear: they are Chinese cleanliness and do not belong to those who claimed they belong to them.

Should Minister Charlotte Daffé really turn a blind eye to this attempted fraud for which these compatriots are responsible? Is it not right to refrain from granting licenses to these ships? This attitude, instead of earning her these enmities as is the case, should rather be a reason to congratulate her so that this example of loyalty to the law is envied and duplicated in all sectors and at all levels.
