Refurbishment with state aid is also different

Hesse increased its funding in December. A further 25 million euros are now to flow into the special program for private homes. So far, 24 million euros per year have been in the funding pot. The state intends to double the refurbishment rate for existing buildings from one to two percent annually. Hesse has so far increased the KfW funds to 50 percent of the costs. The maximum funding was 60,000 euros. How things will continue following the end of KfW funding in Hesse is still open.

The municipalities also support homeowners with renovations. Munich, for example, has launched an energy-saving funding program (FES). Funding is provided, for example, for energy advice, insulating the facade or replacing windows. Anyone who already receives money from Bafa must have the funds from the municipal programs credited to them. Here, too, the upper limit is 60 percent funding quota for an individual measure.
