He reported that he would send to the Congress of the Union his proposal to reform the Federal Labor Law in relation to the guards of resident doctors, so that said people enjoy a rest period that, in no case, may be less than 14 Daily hours.
During the presentation of the opinion, the legislator specified that, if the project is approved, the stay of the resident doctor in the medical unit may be a maximum of 24 consecutive hours, including on-call, because the risk is not exclusive to the staff. health, but also for the people they care for, with a high risk of making irreparable errors in medical care.
